SING-POSIUM 2010 - FREE!
Friday 2 – Sunday 4 July 2010.
Do you run a choir for the disadvantaged or people with special needs…
or would you like to start one?
Dr Jonathon Welch AM is hosting the inaugural Sing-posium Victoria 2010, a FREE event, to be held in Melbourne
As the founding director of the Sydney Street Choir and Choir of Hard Knocks, now known as Choir of Hope and Inspiration, Jonathon understands the challenges of creating choirs of people with special needs, and has a decade of experience creating innovative teaching methods and knowledge that he is so keen to share. Sing-posium will bring together industry leaders and innovators in this unique event to work with people currently working with special needs Choirs (or are looking to run such groups) to take part in capacity building workshops, professional development training, forums and presentations.
Special guest presenters include Matthew Peacock, StreetWise Opera from the UK, Dr Jonathon Welch AM, Choir of Hope & Inspiration, Heather Gridley, Community Psychology, Honorary Fellow Victoria University, Michelle Trevorrow, Fundraising and Marketing Consultant, and Keynote speaker Pat Rix, Artistic Director for 24 years of Tutti Ensemble from Adelaide.
Here is a wonderful opportunity to learn and network with pioneering leaders working in this field of special needs choirs, for the first time.
This is a FREE Event to attend and has been proudly supported by VicHealth, British Council, Federation Square, St Vincent’s Hospital, and is being hosted by the Choir of Hope and Inspiration.
